A representative's office was opened in Copenhagen in 1971, and served Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. In 2005, it was announced that Barclays was to partner with FӧreningsSparbanken (known as Swedbank) to provide credit cards in the Scandinavian market (Demark, Sweden and Norway). The card, known as EnterCard, was launched in 2007. In the same year, EnterCard signed a partnership deal with Helgeland Sparebank, resulting in 900,000 customers in Norway and Sweden.
